Brian’s career spans over 30 years of heavy-duty equipment expertise. From operating his own business in 2000 to working through the Alberta oil boom, heavy-duty repair has always been his passion. Stacey, with 17 years in administrative roles and valuable experience as a home care aide, seamlessly transitioned into running the office, bringing warmth and efficiency to customer interactions.

The decision to launch Black Sheep Heavy Duty wasn't easy, but Brian and Stacey recognized the opportunity to create something truly special—a business built around family values, deep industry knowledge, and exceptional service. As their daughter pursued university and their son prepared to graduate high school, the timing was right for them to take control of their future, pivoting from their previous careers into entrepreneurship.

At Black Sheep Heavy Duty, we specialize in repairs for agricultural equipment, construction equipment, and forestry and logging equipment. From routine maintenance to complex repairs, there’s no job too big or too small. We pride ourselves on being adaptable, regularly taking jobs far beyond Central Alberta, even traveling as far as British Columbia and Nunavut to serve our customers.

We have a dedicated team of 13 employees, including six highly skilled full-time technicians and five experienced office staff. Our crew is a tight-knit family, and we place tremendous value on everyone's input. Open communication and teamwork are fundamental at our shop, ensuring we deliver the highest quality service every time.

Fully Equipped Shop & Mobile Fleet

Our facilities boast two large repair bays designed to accommodate heavy-duty equipment, providing an ideal environment for repairs that demand precision and control. For service calls that require us to meet you on-site, our five fully equipped service trucks are ready to deploy 24/7. Each truck features powerful cranes rated up to 14,000 lbs., robust air compressors, welders, hydraulic power packs, oil recovery systems, air arcs, mobile hydraulic cylinder benches, and even 100-ton track presses. With our extensive mobile resources, we're prepared to handle virtually any scenario on-site, quickly and efficiently.
